Being a Responsible Corporate Citizen

Beyond providing cutting-edge products, services and consumer experiences, we have a sense of responsibility towards the communities in which we live and work. We believe that we all have a meaningful part to play in society, by contributing in whatever way we can to making the lives of our fellow Malaysians a little better. 1 Utopia has embarked on a series of special initiatives designed to fulfill our role as a responsible corporate citizen.

1 Utopia Foundation

1 Utopia Foundation (Yayasan 1 Utopia) was incorporated on 25 May 2011 with the mission of providing relief to the poor, underprivileged, unfortunate, and victims of natural calamities. 1 Utopia Foundation enables donations in cash or in kind to establishments in need, such as orphanages, nursery homes, hospitals, schools, both locally and internationally.

The subsidiaries of 1 Utopia under the Technology pillar, namely PC3 Technology, Essential Action, PDA Expert Mobility and ICT Utopia also actively participate in the Foundation by assisting in the collection and distribution of second-hand ICT gadgets to the underprivileged. This is in line with the government’s efforts to increase ICT penetration amongst underprivileged and underserved rural communities.

The Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of YM Raja Said Abidin Bin Raja Shahrome, Mr. Ng Kok Hok and Mr. Tan Ooi Jin.
